48RE trouble

This is a 2005 48RE with ATS torque convertor in my '68 F250, but I'm hoping someone here can lead me in the right direction. The tranny and torque convertor are brand new.

Everything was working fine until two days ago when I started up after having driven a few miles and I could barely get the truck to move. The engine started and ran fine, but it seemedl like the torque convertor was getting no traction. After about 10 minutes it improved. I went home, topped off the tranny fluid and hoped that was it.

Today, twice, after the truck has sat for awhile, it did it again. It seems to have some grip at idle, but as the rpm's increase there is less and less traction between the engine and the rear wheels. Again, after about 10 minutes it all seems fine. The tranny shifts OK at the right points once you can get it moving enough to justify a shift and the toruqe convertor is locking up as well.

I know theres somthing that allows the tc to drain the fluid out of it when its parked with my DTT stuff if i put it in nutral it will fiull up in about 30 to 40 seconds try that otherwise i hafto let it sit for like 2 min or it wont move. Call ATS back. Or DTT or whoever does your tranny stuff. Hope its simple for you i just droped 3500 on my 48RE

Thanks for the info. That helpful and sounds like what's going on with my rig. I have an email into PCS that makes the ATS controller, but perhaps I'll call aTS tomorrow morning - although I've had very bad luck with their support.
