47re Rebuild On A Tight Budget
Hey guys. Looking for a little input here.
Im in need of a rebuild on my 47re. I've thought about it long and hard, as much as I'd like to have it rebuilt right the first time by Dave or any other of the big named companies, I just can't swing the price right now. What I think I will do is get a Master Rebuild Kit from DTT, a Shift Kit, a stock TC and a OEM shaft and call it good for now.
What i'm looking for here is if anyone knows a good place to buy a stock TC/shafts on the cheap. I haven't pulled out my trans yet so I'm really not sure what shaft let go. I remember reading somewhere that if the truck can be rolled in park the input let go? Is that correct?
Thanks.

Thanks, I couldn't remember if it was the output or input.
Anyone know a place were a guy could find an OEM shaft/TC? I've seen the average going price for a billet is $700 or so. I guess I could try the dealer but I don't even want to see the price they have listed.
