3rd Gen. oil blow-by canister???

Do the 3rd gens have this oil Blow-by canister that the 2nd gens have???

I have read in that these things are mounted up front near the radiator and start leaking later down the road. Some guys are making relocation kits to solve this problem. From what I've read, it also gunks up the radiator and can cause overheating.

I haven't heard anything about the 3rd Gen's having these. Even when I looked on mine, I couldn't see anything that looked similar, or maybe I don't know what i'm looking for.

Thanks ahead for all the input.

I was wondering the same thing when I went from a 2nd gen to a 3rd. Looked on the front of the motor, no bottle. Rolled under the truck on a creeper, found the hose just dumps behind the filter housing. The radiator on my 2nd gen did get gummed up by oil & junk...PITA to clean. I'll put some kind of bottle to catch drips on the new one. So far, with 3000 miles, not a drip.

Not to Hijack...I just read your signature Hercules130..Sorry for the loss of your brother...Being a twin must make it even tougher. Does the 130 refer to the C-130? Great airplanes...Worked on them in the military myself

Thats a great idea, I'm going to go with that or something similar. looks like it has a drain on it so you can permanently mount it and drain it at every oil change or so.

Just make sure that whatever bottle you use does not block the end of the hose. In other words, make sure the end of the hose does not get plugged by whatever oil is accumulated. The hose needs to be open to atmosphere.
