30-35 psi on stock turbo

Hi I'm a long time reader and short time poster, I am on here just about everyday reading and learning, I have a question about my truck in my sig.
at WOT on a stock turbo I can hit 30 - 32 ish psi on my isspro boost gage.
is this normal from what I have been reading most stockers are in the 25 psi range
I bought the truck used with 5000 km on it so the previous owner might have done something to it. I traded my brand new 2500 diesel for this truck because it was a 1 ton 6 speed.... Thanks in advance
Brian

I had wondered about the boost thing for a while too. I've got an '05 auto. So the first gauge I put on it was an ISSPRO 60 lb gauge. It said I would get maybe 32, usually only 30ish for a spike, and then it would settle back down to about 26ish. I recently switched it out for a 40 lb ISSPRO, and see higher numbers now. It will get up around 2 or 3 psi higher on this gauge. I'm not sure which one is right, but I do remember seeing posts a long while back that suggested the 60lb gauges read lower. What PSI gauge do you have?

World, check under your hood, the previous owner may have installed a boostfooler. It would be plugged into the map sensor. It is located right behind the intake horn and will have a little lcd light on it, if it is the quadzilla unit. Those numbers do sound high for a stocker, put if there is a programmer on it than it may fool the boost as well.

On any '04.5 and newer 30-32psi stock is normal. With a boost fooler upwards of 40 psi is normal....so I would say you truck is normal for a stock unmodified truck.

'03-04 trucks had lower boost and had a mechanical wastegate where as the '04.5+ truck has an electronic wastegate and higher boost (30-32psi)

I'm running a 60lb Isspro gauge and mine will spike up to 32 and settle back to about 30. This is with or without the Smarty. I'm running a stock turbo program and don't have a boost fooler so those numbers have stayed the same.

Stock on 04.5+ the WG opens at 32, and will spike to that.. then reduce to 26-28 on light load and 28-32 on heavy load...

With my Jr boost fooling I hit about 34-36 psi now...

I have a Westach Combo 60 lb gauge and I spike to 32 and drop back to 28. My truck is stock except for the GDP Walbro, and Big Line Kit and these do not have anything to do with the boost.

My stock '05 would hit 32, settle back to 28, reading from a 60psi ISSPRO gauge. With the Quad, I hit 40.

Yep...I found on my stock programing it would spike to 32 then settle to 26-28 under a light load WOT run, and with a load would spike to 32 and settle at 28-32.
