3.73 OR 4.10 How do I know?
One way to determine the axle ratio is to raise one rear wheel and with the tire valve stem pointed toward the ground and a mark on the driveshaft. Turn the wheel one complete revolution and count the number of times the driveshaft turns. More than 4 turns - 4.10; less than 4 turns - 3.73

Thinking of it as gears where the small gear takes twice as many turns to complete a revolution as the larger one....???
OK, a smaller tire will cover less ground in one revolution than a larger tire will, yes. However, one revolution is always 360 degrees, no matter what size tire you have. You're comparing revolutions to revolutions here, not the distance traveled after one revolution. Think of a wristwatch versus a clock tower. One revolution of the big hand is one hour, doesn't matter what size the clock is. Make sense?
