2007 automatic tranny problem

I have a early 2007 2500 automatic that 1st gear just started to stretch out seems like it is not wanting to shift into second, but all other gears feel normal any tips, info, or bad news. If it were to come down to a new tranny what is recommended ats, suncoast or other? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Most of the time the governor transducer and solenoid start going out. Easy fix just takes dropping your tranny pan. Of course new fluid and such. Parts at the dealer are around $200.

Usually when those parts go, you will loose a gear or two altogether. Not physically, its just an electronic shift issue. And it can be a combination if 1st & OD, 2nd & OD ect.
