2007 - 2500 SRW to DRW
2007 - 2500 SRW to DRW
Looking at the conversion for my truck listed below. I know I need the duallie hubs for the front axle and need to swap out the rear differential for a 3500 duallie. But on the rear bed, can I just add the factory duallie fender extensions to my existing short bed, like on the mega cab duallies?

One guy is even getting rid of his dually box for a flat bed. Good luck!!!
I don't think you have to swap the whole diff... You just need the DRW hubs if I remember right. Doing this you end up with the rear being about an inch narrower than a factory drw truck but as long as there is not tire rub you should be fine.
A new dually rear diff is needed. Dually hubs wont work unless mated to dually diff.
you can use your rear end but you will need the dually brake calipers, axle shafts as well as hub/bearings. pretty much, everything from the end of the axle tube out for the rear end to be switched over. i was thinking about converting mine over as well but i've had a hard time finding someone to swap parts in my area and plus i really don't need a drw...i just wanted it more for the stablility while towing.
