my 2005 dodge is having trouble with its injectors, it has a edge economy chip afe stage 3 air intake and a straight through muffler. it lost the number 1 and number 6 injector about a month ago. during that the time when they were going bad it was knocking and smoking badly, we finally replaced the two injectors. now it is starting to do the same exact thing, excessive smoke and the slight knock.
please help cause i dont want to replace the injectors every 70k miles

 

I believe the best defense is a 2 micron fuel filter. Were they replaced under warranty? What was the cause? Contamination seems to be the most common cause, 2nd being, too high rail pressure.

 

we have no idea what the cause was, the mechanic didnt say much, no they were not replaced under warrenty. and where can i get a 2 micron filter, i see alot of 5's out there
