Hey all, I just got my NEW 05 dodge and wanted to know a little about it. I owned a 01 that I loved, but lost a fight with a oak tree a couple of months ago. I want to know if there are any lift pump problems with the new truck, how it will handle up grades, Is there a HO and Non HO. Also what rearend is in these things. I had Dana's in my 01. but this one is not like it. it is all so a 11.50 from the glove box list. I take it that it is a 11.5 ring gear. Also this thing did not come with suregrip or a towing package. I know this is a lot, and I will read and serch for more. but these were some questions off the top of my head.

 

there have been some lift pump problems in various areas of north america,but i don't know first hand of any where i live in saskatchewan,canada.i have 24800km on my 04.5 and have had only a small issue with hesitation/stumble that was fixed with a reflash.no problems with power,goes like a whipped dog.started out with poor fuel milage but came up quickly and is running 19-22mpg(hand calculated)there is now only a HO CTD as the non-HO was dumped at the end of 2003 when the 50 state CTD 600 came out.the axles are AAM and i'am not sure about the size but 11.50 ring does make sense...perhaps someone could elaborate on this.mine came with the towing package already installed as well as the reaer LSD.
