2003 305hp Engine goes "tick, tick, tick" at idle
That is really interesting! When the tsb came out I went to the best tech around. My ecm/pcm did not match the build date or the engine serial number so I was S.O.L. He told me my ecm and pcm are not capable of accepting the reflash. I could have a newer ecm/pcm installed...too much! I would really like to get to the bottom of this confusion. So you are saying you have the cruise control manual high idle with a build date of 9/03. That doesn't meet the tsb requirements alone. What is your engine serial number? Does that meet the tsb? Many of us would like to get this clear.

here's a short video
N.Johnson and others- here is a short clip I made today of how i enable the hi idle. I am getting confused also, as some people say it can't be done, some say it can, I can do it.....but not if it is built before this date, yada yada yada.
My serial # (if I read it right) is 57093650. My truck was assembled in Mexico on 9/18/03.
1500 RPM is the max

Thanks for the video. It is clear that you have 2004. Can tell just by your steering wheel and controls. Therefore the tsb will work or Smarty will enable the manual high idle function. However for the rest of us with 2003, the tsb won't work.
