2 inch leveling kit

Has any one had issues with there ball joints after installing 2 inch leveling kit on there ram 2500, went to dealer today to have speedometer reset after putting on 35 inch tires on and the services manager comes out and tells me by putting on the leveling kit it will ware out the ball joints about 4000 miles, should I take it off, any thoughts.

Whatever... I ran a levelling kit on my first truck for 50k miles without any front end issues. I'm sure most people will agree that the service manager doesn't have a clue.

I have a little over 61,000 miles on my truck and about 57,000 of that is with a leveling kit. I haven't had a problem yet. I agree with the last post. The truck belongs to you enjoy it....

Your ball joints will be fine, they don't last as long as they should on these trucks, but they do outlast oil changes.

96k on my truck right now, 45k of it with a leveling kit. No problems.

As opposed to hubs and ujoints that don't!

Ball joints don't even know the truck is lifted, no difference at all. A wheel with less back spacing would put more force on the ball joints, right?

That would be true, assuming the lift is done correctly, to address all the steering and suspension geometry issues.

Mods: Shouldn't this be in the non-drivetrain forum?
