what overflow is it?
its around a 1 inch blacj pipe coming down the drivers side of the engine and ends right next to the oil pan...ive noticed some small blackish spots on my driveway directly under it...any clues to what is going on?

Sounds like your talking about the breather tube(crankcase ventilation).Some people report seeing small drops of oil and others don't.My truck has never dripped a drop.I wouldn't worry about it if its only a drop or two.
