If you run CJ oil in a new JD tractor it will void the warrenty.

But why does it make a difference what oil(cj or ci4) with what fuel (LSD,ULSD)you use, they are in separate tanks, how does the use of one to the other effect each other??

CJ oil has less additives due to EPA mandates. Ultra low sulfur diesel fuel has less sulfur due to EPA mandates. It's all in the name of the environment...

Anyway.... CJ oil is to be used in conjunction with ULSD because the new trucks designed for newer EPA standards have diesel particulate filters located in their exhausts. The older CI oils' additives would cause problems with these filters. And even though fuel and oil are in separate tanks, they co-mingle during combustion somewhat.

Make sense?
