its called the death wobble bfg's are pretty famous for the cause of it. espicially if they are the larger tires. if the are stock size could be the air pressure is to low allowing the the sidewall to walk

the tires are 285s which are not much bigger than stock but that may be the problem. oh and the pressure is correct

I can assure you it is not the death wobble. If it were, you'd be running off the road with the front end violently shaking and you'd cream your pants when it happened.

Sounds like your ball joints are shot, check those.

not the ball joints have them all checked the only thing on the truck that is changed is the tires, it was like flipping a switch one day fine next all to hell, this thing is swaying on both ends and it is scary as hell to drive at highway speeds if you move the wheel either way to quickly

New tires can be a little squirrely when brand new. Give it a few hundred miles. Also if you went from an AT tread to a mud type ,it'll need to wear down some. It's not the E rating you are dealing with.

If it was fine when you went into the tire shop, and not when you came out, I'd be tempted to say maybe they jacked something up or maybe you got a faulty tire. I'd take it back to where you got them from and aske them to check out the front tires again.

I see your from Kerrville, I love that area. Use to own some property near Harper. Sure miss it over there. I'd be back in a heartbeat if I could find decent work that way.

Sounds to me like tread separation or in other words a bum tire...go back to the tire shop and let them deal with it...

Well let us know. I'm still saying ball joints!! Worn tires can hide bad ball joints, and new tires that run straight will reveal them.

And you can't hardly tell if they are bad when the weight of the truck is on them. Read all the threads where dozens of people had your EXACT symptoms and then spent thousands replacing parts until they finally replaced their 'good' ball joints and it immediately fixed the problem.

Just let us know what you find!

Normal to have that drifting affect with new tires. You have to wear the sealer off the tires and it will go away. It is a pain in the butt. When I had my Goodyear Silent Armors put on I had it for about 1,000 miles. I have always read on hear that it is a common issue. It freaks people out. I think I towed heavy with my truck and perty much cleared it up. Never will forget it.

I've never had to break in Toyo's(probably 7 sets or so on HD trucks). With that said, I also will NEVER buy another BFG product for a 3/4 or 1 ton truck. I loved them on my 1/2 tons, but hated them on every 3/4 ton or 1 ton I've ridden in. There are alot of front end issues revolving around BFG tires, just do a few searches and read for yourself. Get rid of them while you still can IMO.

Was just having this conversation with a guy at work this AM. He drove my truck with some new Goodyear mudders on it and said it was all over the road. Personally I didin't notice much difference from the worn out tires. It seems to squirm a little more, but that will go away once they get worn a little.
Think about it. The old tires probably had alot more rubber actually contacting the road, because most tread are tapered somewhat (narrower at the top). Plus you get the squish of taller treads.
