Happy New Year everybody!
I haven't done much lately due to the holiday season and my job. Having duty during Holidays is not fun. Anyways, i'll get back at it and finish cleaning my injectors, I have three left. Now if you wonder why I didn't swap the injectors is because at the time of removal I took pictures of the injectors housing or cups whatever they're called and I just looked at the #6 a couple of days ago and I see cracks and damage in that housing. I will try to post the pic again. In the mean time I need to find out what to do about this damage. Can you please input your opinion?

Looks like that injector was doing some traveling in its bore. Which is weird. Can't honestly say I've seen that before. I've seen lots of lifted, bruised, cracked cups, cooked o rings, etc. But those marks are odd.

Can you get someone else local to eyes on this thing, or can you feel the marks as well as see them?

No, I don't have anybody local. I didn't touch that yet. As soon as I go home this weekend I'll see how it feels when touched. I took the pictures at the time of injectors removal but I haven't looked at them for many days until recently. In the meantime I finished cleaning the injectors, they came up pretty good but now I have to torque everything back and I'm still looking for the numbers. I'll have to ping Madhat maybe he found something. The damage in the pictures seems to be done to the cup but I haven't found much online about this. Still looking. I'll post again when ready. Thanks

This are all the parts that go inside the injector on a 2006 Cummins 5.9L.
I need torque values for reassembly like the nozzle nut, the plunger's housing nut, the solenoid set screw and the solenoid nut. Is there anybody out there who went thru what I'm doing right now? Thank you.

I'm wondering if our injectors have sleeves or cups. Can't find anything online about this other than duramax and powerstroke engines. I would imagine 5.9 cummins injector would have a cup also but is hard to find the info unless there is no such thing in our engines or I don't know where to look. Any ideas?

The older b series are cast/machined right into the head, haven't paid attention to the newer ones. Can't see them being much different. I'm still interested in that wear pattern though.
