'06 Jake questions

Does the Jacobs Brake for an '06 spd use a belt driven vacuum pump? If so I assume the pump mounts on the driver's side of the motor taking up some space where I would want the Glacier fuel filter setup no? Anyone have any other comments about the Jake versus Pac or BD? I would rather have an electric pump. Do any of the brands have a superior flowing elbow or are they all pretty much the same thing. So far I am leaning towards going with the Jake only because it can be included in my factory warranty.

I just had a pac brake put on my o6 and love it. Warms up the engine fast in the mornings and really slow the truck down. I have not towed yet. The brake is totally automatic. Once the engine temp gets up to about 175 it will turn off at idle. The brake will only turn on when the TC is locked up so the brake seems to shut off at about 22 mph. The pac works of compressed air. they include a quick disconnect air hose that you can plug into the compresser. You can also hook up your airbags with the installed tank. $1250 installed at my dealer. Hope that help. Aaron

Glacier diesel has a different fitting to use with the jacobs brake as the vacuum pump is close to the cp3. I have the jacobs and purchased that particular one because of the warranty thing. So far so good, it helps warm the truck on cold days and works fantastic towing on grades. Good luck.
