06 Brake Dust?

Is anybody having any issues with excessive front brake dust? Got a 06 Mega Cab 6-speed with 5,000 miles on it now. Love the truck, after 200 highway miles this last weekend it will even turn the front tires brown!! any thoughts?

I quit lookin

Every newer CTD I've seen in the past few years that was more than 25 stop signs away from the car wash, had brown front tires and dirty wheels.

So far mine stay clean. I have just over 3000 miles and last washed it about 1500-1600 miles ago and mine are still clean. Just a very light coat of dust on them. I do about 80% highway and 20% Stop and go city driving.

Not much wear on the rear discs. My fronts get dirty, but not that much dirtier than my other cars.

It must be the pads that DC uses now. My 06 Mega Cab and my wife's Town & Country are both filthy. I used some spray on motorcycle cleaner (Honda Pro Cleaner) and it kept them clean a little longer, but my wheels still look like poopy. And, it even makes the tires look a little brown too. I do about 50/50 city/highway, so I do a lot of stops. I still ahve not had this problem with other vehicles. When the pads wear out, I think that I'll have to do some research for better pads.
