Brake dust

Dose anybody have a fix for the brake dust from the pads that gets on the wheels and makes a mess when it rains. I seem to remember that there was a fix available but I can't seem to find it

Kleen Wheels, just keep the vents open. I've had them on every truck I've ever owned. No problems.

Are they aluminum or steel wheels? The reason I ask is because some of the racers I race with have very expensive race wheels and various race brake pads have very bad and very hard to get off brake dust. Their solution for a very minimal cost was to send the rims out and have them teflon coated. The brake dust now washes off easily. Something that any alloy wheel could have done. Steel wheel with hubcaps...maybe not so easy. There are also many differnt spray in wheel cleaners out there by companies like Meguiars, Mothers and I even noticed Michellin is now selling a wheel and tire cleaning kit. The only real solution as someone else already said is to wash them more often as unfortuantely the by product of having really awesome brakes is that they do produce some brake dust, small trade off if you ask me to be able to have the stopping ability that we have in these trucks.

I run the Kleen wheels also and they work great. They are vented to keep the brakes cool. www.genosgarage.com sells them for around $40.00 for the fronts. You don't need them in the rear because they use different pads that don't make so much dust back there...

PFC Carbon-Metallic pads from AutoZone don't produce dust, and stop EXCELLENT. I have them on my Jeep.
I'm getting sick of the dust on mine already, and I only have 4K on my truck. I may switch to the PFCs soon.
