06 2500 Crank No start
Hi all,
I have a 06 Dodge 2500 diesel. I had to replace the fuel pump in the tank. After I replaced it my truck started and ran great. Fast forward 10 days later and I went to start it and it cranked for about 10 seconds before it started. Outside temp was around 35. Next day it would not start. The code check with key brought up P0513, faulty skim. I got a new programmed key. StilI no start. I sprayed a tiny bit of starting fluid at air filter and it started right up. Turned it off and tried to start it back and no start. Any ideas? Also replaced fuel filter.
Thanks so much for any help, Lisa

My 03 2500 did the same thing. It was high pressure fuel pump failure or as some still call it the injector pump. It also sent metal contaminants thru the system so changed the six injectors and blew out common rail. It showed no codes. I did not do it myself but had a shop do it that is very good. 4160.00 + tax. No longer have truck that shows up so I need to update.
