05 Dodge 2500 5.9 Bad Diesel

Got Diesel in Denver NC on my way to Charlotte. On my way home from Charlotte the truck started sputtering, no power and wouldn't stay running without holding the gas and the break at the stoplight. I immediately pulled over and the truck cut off. I tried starting it back and white smoke poured then black then was white again. The truck started making horrible loud knocking sound, immediately cut off. It will not start now, it turns over but never starts. I had it towed home and opened the water separator valve and milky substance poured out of it. I immediately knew i had gotten bad Diesel. I dropped the tank and dumped it. Changed filters, bled the lines. Put fresh diesel in it and still nothing tries to start but will not. It is getting towed to the Diesel shop in the morning. Not sure if it killed the motor of just the fuel system has went bad.

Pic Below is what i got out when I opened the Separator. Yes i know it looks like grease. It is diesel and the clear at the bottom is where the water has separated.

Ouch...nothing quite destroys injectors like water..Hope it is just a matter of not getting all the crap out of the system...With your receipt you can make the station pay for the damages

Good then they can go after them or if you have deductible you can get a copy of the receipt back and sue them for the deductible

Hopefully it will only need Injectors, but the newer ones can kill an engine with fuel like that in nothing flat.

We had a owner on here a couple of years ago that holed his piston in what was said to be a couple hundred yards at speed ( couldn't get over right away ).

Make sure it is right before you accept it back, and your Insurance company might like the receipt so they can go after the station, this will probably be expensive.
