I have an intermitent buzzing sound at hwy speed and when running in town in 5th gear. seems like transfer case handel is vibrating. is this normal in 6 speed ?. haven't taken it back to the dealer yet need some input. thanks

 

with over 12,500 on mine no unexpected noises. knock on wood.

 

hey i'm from WI too. i have a buzz/vibe noise at 20-30mph loaded or unloaded. mine is a 6spd too. I don't have a buzz noise at high speeds however. almost seems like you have the VIBERATION problem most Heavy Duties are having. check out the post here..

 

Which 6 speed? NV or G56?

 

BLK0600 Took my 05 to the dealer yesterday 1100 miles on truck the 6 speed is toast full of silver shavings. they said they would replace trans but it will take 3 to 4 weeks it's on national back order. is anybody having proublums. with 5600 6 speed Wayne

 

NV5600 is a tough/durable unit.But thats why theres a warranty.Failures do happen on anything new sometimes.

 

Called dealer today they said there are 4 N5600 6 speeds in usa and 12 dealers wanting them. said 4 to 6 week wait. after i got upset they said they would take one out of a new truck and put it in mine good dealer ha. wayne

 

Now thats what I would rate a five star dealer.

 

I hope they know what they're in for. Definitely not just a trans, clutch, flywheel. Its also both driveshafts, and clutch hydraulics. Also need to reprogram ABS module for different final drive ratio.

 

Do what? Their swapping a NV5600 for a NV5600.
