'04 Dodge; engine dies during cool-down
I have an '04 Dodge Cummins 555 that dies during cool-down after towing. I recently installed a BD booster lift-pump, and I'm sure this is the problem. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, what's the fix?
Cool-down, as in what?
Do you have a cool-down timer?
Some aftermarket lift pumps will not run after you turn off the key. It depends on how you have it wired. Your CP3 may be starving from fuel.
If you're sitting there idling and it dies, then I have no suggestions.
What's your fuel pressure gauge tell you?
It would also help to fill out your signature so we can see what you have. Then we can make more "educated" guesses as to what your problem is.
