The white with orange tracer wire should be the vehicle speed sensor wire. If we are talking about the same plug on the ecm. 2 plugs that have a bolt in the middle of them?

 

I Believe the # is 11 on the plug, were the white and orange wire go's in at.

 

souns like a whole bunch of culprits can cause this I hear a clicking sound when my key is on until the truck starts. is this the fca or the relief vvalve.

 

Yup ! #11 is the speed sensor signal wire.

Sounds like it could be an injector, or the relief valve. If the CP3 can't build pressure, the truck won't start.

 

I just went out and took the fuel filter out and put it back in I let it run through two prime cycles and it started right up. Now that makes no sense to me. By tomorrow after a few starts and stops it will not start again that has been the way it has been going for about 4 weeks now. It does not have any codes and none of the fuel line are leaking. I am going to take it to the dealer this week. My buddie is a mechanic at the Dodge dealer ship and if I tell him what I think is wrong he won't waste a bunch of time checking other things so I am glad for any advice.

How many miles do you have since you last changed your fuel filter?

This is probably not the case but some diesels once the get "hooked" on ether to start they have a heck of a time starting without a "fix".

THis fuel filter mabey has 500 miles on it I have put 4 in during the last month

 

I sure hope you find out what it is.....I have the same problem
