what do you guys do about your injector problems?

I have a buddy, who bought a 03 for 8000 dls,

it has a pressure box, a programmer, bigger injector tips, aftermarket exahust, modded tranny etc. he said the truck ran fine when he bought it in usa, when it came to mex, it blew the turbo, and has injector problems, when you turn the key off, it keeps ideling about 10 more seconds, when it finally "kills itself" and has white smoke.

i know a diesel mech in my area, who fixed one of my uncles injectors (03)
i wonder how much of work it is?...

he quoted 300 bucks for gettin that truck nicely on the road again...

what do ya think?

 

I think I need to come to Mexico. I have an '03 that needs at least 1 injector replaced (leaking by into return system). I have the injector and hope to use it up this weekend. Will purchase more as needed because I can still limp it along as it is. I'm using new Bosch injectors. Several places have them for about $360 each.
