03 Fuel Pressure

Where is the best place to check the fuel pressure on an 03. The 02's had a srader valve on the VP44 I could use manual gauge to check. I do not see anything like that on the 03.

Re:03 Fuel Pressure

If no one will chime in on this I will offer my opinion atleast. Seeing as the lift pump is bolted directly to the fuel filter housing I would tap into the fuel feed from the bottom of the filter housing and put your guage there, it may already have a shrader valve on it..

Good Luck

Re:03 Fuel Pressure

On the 03's you have to use a tapped banjo or other tapped fitting on the injection pump. The bottom of the filter canister has changed, and they've stuffed a brace in the way that makes it nearly impossible to get anything onto a tapped fitting.

Thanks Rod!

I was afraid that was the case. So tapped banjo bolts are the only way to go. Where is the best place to add the tapped bolt?
