Is this Normal

The last few mornings after I start the truck & it is warming up I have noticed the headlights are dimming every few seconds and then back to normal. I dont have the heater or defroster on so I am not sure what is going on.
Is this normal------------I usally wait a few minutes and then take off and I dont notice it once I start driving

Thanks
JIM

Normal. Grid heaters. Actually, I seem to remember reading something about this, perhaps in the owners manual.

Normal.

Grid heaters draw a lot of power. Main reason there are two batteries. Even after your start light goes out, grid heaters continue to do their job for as long as several minutes, depending how cold it is.

The grid heaters will shut off by temperature, or exceeding (I think it's) 25 MPH.

Re:Is this Normal

Glad you asked this question, I just experienced this for the first time this morning. I was concerned, now I know.
