03' flash
03' flash
I am not a 3rd Gen owner so I don't really pay much attention to posts about issues with those trucks but I have a buddy here at work that has an under warranty 03' auto and is having problems going in and out of lock-up and hunting for gears while towing. I think I have seen something on here regaurding a a "FLASH" that can help resolve this issue but am having no luck using the search function. He has had it in to the local dealer and they swear they can find no problem with it.
If such a "flash" exists; can someone give me the info or name of the flash so he can tell the dealer what he wants done. He has had this rig since new and has never had it flashed for anything to his knowledge. The name or number of this flash and any others available (and what they are for) would be great.

Well I am not seeing what I am looking for there. I guess maybe it was a flash for a differnt model. Guess we'll just have to stick the trialer behind it and let the dealer figure it out. I know his frustration with hunting for gears and going in and out of lockup at 40 mph though.
He should be able to go to any dealer and have them check the vin. to see if it's been re-flashed...I think. My truck was re-flashed. There is a sticker near the intercooler that says "re-flash" and a date on it.
