Code

Here's the issue the truck threw a code lost power then came back, was able to drive home ran it by the parts store scanner said TPS, I didn't get the actual code from the parts guy so was going to go back and have it scanned again. Now the check engine light is NOT on ? is do I need to look for a bare wire or something?

Try the key trick to display any codes in your odometer window. That code will really help the folks here narrow down your problem. Our trucks do not have a TPS (throttle position sensor). We have an APPS (accelerator pedal position sensor) which can be located either on the drivers side of the block up by the valve cover under a black plastic boxy thing or under the drivers side battery. Most of the symptoms of a bad APPS will be a "dead pedal" so to speak.....give it throttle and no go.
