Won't Start After R&R Fuel Tank
I ordered a module from Geno's on Friday late as they were a few bucks cheaper. Since it was a holiday weekend they didn't get around to let me know the part had been back ordered on till Tuesday. It would be a 14 to 21 day wait for them to get one. So I ordered on line from Vulcan as they were also in Washington state. I called 2 times and there was no answer. The third time they answered, told me they had gotten the order and it would be shipped Wednesday. The module arrived Thursday afternoon. I got it in fairly quickly and bled the fuel line. I loosened the injectors and had my wife crank it. I expected to have to crank it twice, but our wonderful little truck was so anxious to come back to life that it started almost immediately. By the time I was able to tighten the injectors it was running smoothly Road test revealed she was back to life. Thank you all for the help and support.
I've been following this.
So, the summary is (for future readers): You installed a module with an in-tank pump (not your fault - vendor-supplied and not easily noticed) - fuel to be drawn through the in-module pump because your truck has a block-mounted lift/transfer pump and there was no electrical connection to the in-module pump. At the same time, your block-mounted lift/transfer pump failed. Is that correct? Those coincidental, multiple issues will drive one nuts! Glad you got it worked out!
