Wiring Harness?

Anyone ever had the harness between the transmissiona dn the PCM off? Pretty easy to unplug and take out or is there a bunch of retaining clips in the transmission tunnel? I have an short in the wiring somewhere between there and was going to take the whole harness off and inspect it if possible.

It's a major hassle to remove the entire harness.
You're better off tracking it down in place.

How many plugs are there? Theres the speed sensor, tranny moduale plug, and what else underneath? Then up top they all come into one to plug into the PCM correct?

My only fear is I cant see the wires going through the tunnel up to the PCM and I don't wanna miss the short. my tranny is getting a 5v constant voltage to its TPS readout and Ive replaced everything so its gotta be a short in the wiring sending it. Its fine on the circuit from the TPS to the computer but from the PCm to the tranny its getting too much voltage and throwing an apps voltage too high code which is because of this. New PCM, APPS, and both speed sensors leads me and my buddy to believe its a short somewhere. Now time tot race wires and find out where on that harness.....Sounds fun

And then of copurse this keeps the tranny from locking up and going into OD because it sees 5 volts and thinks that the truck is wide open throttle. Problem is intermitent...when it doesnt have a problem the tranny shifts firm and through all gears perfect so it isnt anything inside the tranny...its a **** wiring issue.

Sounds like a bad TPS or bad ground on the TPS.

Got a timbo and a regular tps is fine. Ground on tps has been sent to the battery...both are taken care of...trust me everything that could be thought of has been done. haha this is an ongoing problem the dodge dealer had it for a week and gave up.
