99 4x4 stock, replaced batteries 8 weeks ago. I pulled the radiator out 2 weeks ago and ever since it has been hard to start especially when the motor is warm. When its runnning its pegged at 14 amps when its not about 10. Any suggestions?

 

Define "hard to start" Does the engine not want to turn over? Will the engine turn over, but has a hard time catching on all cylinders?

 

No, it always starts but it doesn't fire right up like it used to. It turns over about 6-8 times before it starts now.

 

Sounds more like a fuel issue than anything, if the engine is turnin over fast enough id say weak fuel pressure or a tired VP44.
