whirling sound

When I shut off truck I hear a whirling sound around radiator area, is this normal? Sounds like coolant circulating or something.

Sure it's not the a/c refrigerant equalizing pressures?

I would have to agree with gadget, it is probably your a/c system changing pressures.

After reading this thread I am just as confused as Diesel Dave by the ''Good Joke'' comment.

me too - quite confused . . .

i think it is a combination of the turbo, coolant circulation, and ac equalizing.

If you have a cold air intake, you can hear the turbo quite a bit when you shut the truck off... People ask what that noise is on mine...

Maybe we need to ask how long this noise is occurring after shutdown. These things aren't exactly quiet, even when they're shut off!

No, I don't think its turbo. It does sound like possibly an A/C system, etc. Just was checking if its normal or not.
