Where to buy positive battery cable for seconday batt to main

I was wondering if there is somewhere special I should buy a positive battery cable for my truck. The end is almost split in half on the secondary battery and I need to replace it soon. Do you guys have any recommendations for this? Thanks Aaron

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

I can't tell you where to buy the cable but you can make your own. Either purchase a length of battery cable or better yet, a piece of welding cable one size larger and install your own ends to suit. It will not make that much difference with the larger diameter cable, but there could be times where another amp or two will help.

dont bother with Walmart - follow Stan's advice and go to an industrial or welding supplier and pick up some 2 or 1 guage welding cable and some hammer lugs or crimp type copper lugs ( some places may even crimp the ends on for ya). OR just some ordinary battery clamps..... You should have NO trouble finding this in Houston and it will be much cheaper and better than buying from a dealer.

Anyone know what the stock gauge is from the alternator to the main drivers side battery?

My stock clamp is totally fubar'd. I don't have the $$ to completely replace the entire cable at the moment so I was thinking of putting on some clamps.

Also will be nice for not using ring terminals for my CB and inverter power.

Yeah sorry, starter not alternator... There's also a very short wire that goes to the main fuse box off that same clamp. The clamp itself is just destroyed and needs to be replaced.

Ok...I used 2/0 welding cable wilth military style battery clamps and crimp on ring terminals. If you want a to see it I could take a couple of pics.

You dont want the cable to the starter to be any less than #1 guage....as for the cable to the distribution box, Id go with #4 awg.
