what tires for 98 4x4 duallie?

I have a deal set up for a 98 12 valver, 4x4 duallie quad cab. Part of the deal is new tires because they are bald. What tires do you reccommend? any pics? esspecially for size changes....
I m not looking for the most expensive tire , just a good tire, good bang for the buck so to speak, and available from a national supplier....

Oh, I almost forgot,...it would be nice if they were a M&S tire so I don t have to chain up in snow......I also will be driving in sand....(sand dunes) occasionally, and towing ....

215-85-16 is the factory tire, you can go bigger and wider but you will reach a point where you will need to add a spacer between the rear wheels to keep the tires from rubbing one another.

I am running 235/85/16 Kelly AT's. They are decent off road, & I got 70k miles out of the last set. Paid $100 a pop for them at the local Kelly dealer. And yes they are E rated tires.

No spacer required.

run the 235 85's and you will be happy a good tire for a lot of weight in the rocks is the michelin xps all terrains. do not use the bfg's a/t on the rear because they are way to soft and you wont get a lot of miles out of them . you can run them on the front and they last awhile.

Re:what tires for 98 4x4 duallie?

I highly recomend either Big O tires x/t or m/t, 235-85-16 the tires will not rub when loaded down they are an E load range and are very stable on the highway and excellent off road even the mud terrains wear very well if maintained and can barely be heard over the Cummins. And they have a lifetime free rotate and balance along with a road hazzard warranty even if you bust a belt off road they will still stand behind the tire.
