What are hi pressure cut out values for AC? Mine Wont kick out.
OK Ive got problems.
I think the pressures got too high and blew out a seal. I lost the charge and AC wont even cycle. I put a charge in it and it started up again, but the next day it was gone again.
I hope I didnt ruin another compressor. Im thinking of starting from scratch.
Check for leaks, then New Comp, O tube, drier, vac and flush system, then recharge.
Any help is appreciated.

I'm having issues now as well. The high pressures pegged the gauge. We narrowed it down to the orifice tube blocked. You cannot replace the orifice tube you gotta get a new Liquid line. Got on for $38 from Autozone or should i say ordered it.
This is a very informative thread, probably one of the best AC trouble shooting ones.

are the 97s different? because I thought I replaced my O tube, i think.
or did I make a mistake and put another o tube in, so now I have two?
That would cause a blockage.
Which line is supposed to have the o tube in it? Location and or how to ID it.
THanks

Well i replaced the Liquid line today, vacuumed the system and recharged it.
Still doing the same thing. Put 3 cans in ($30 wasted) and comp wouldn't cycle. It cut in quickly once or twice. Was reading 35 & 150 on the gauges. So i put in another can and the comp cuts on briefly and pegs the high side.
So i'm guessing i have blockage somewhere else. Should i get a new dryer? Or is there another way to check for blockage?
Freakin Freon is $10 for 12oz can. Getting expensive.
Don't wanna keep throwing money at it guessing what's wrong.
