Do you want cetane values listed at the pumps?
Hello! I'm part of another discussion board for my 300D, and one of them is starting an online petition of sorts to change the law so that posting the cetane value on diesel pumps is required at fueling stations. If anyone here's interested in seeing this change, please either respond to this post with your name (I just put my first name and last initial on the original) or go here and do the same. I did some investigation about laws surrounding the posting of Cetane Ratings on Diesel pumps. Apparently the law is gas stations don't have to post the ratings, but if they DO the ratings must be correct. Anyways, with the increasing oil prices and the correlating increase of diesel automobiles, I think diesel owners should stand up for their rights and demand to know what we are paying for at the pump. Does anyone want to elaborate on why Cetane ratings are important? <br><br>Gasoline gets it's octane ratings. Let's get our cetane ratings and know what we're running in our beloved automobiles!!! <br><br>So, the man from the Department of Agriculture Standards Division that I talked to agrees with me. The Standards Division is in charge of these laws. He says that if we want changed, to get as many diesel owners to agree as possible. <br><br>So, please just write your name in a post and hopefully we can get a load of people to agree. Then i can compile the information and send it to the Dept of Agriculture. <br>Thanks!

Point of information....in Virginia it's already required to be posted on the pump.<br>Just to give you guys in non-posting states a little ammunition for the cause.
