What Factory CD Players Interchange?

My '97 is equipped with the factory tape deck that doesn't work so I'm stuck listening to the horrible local radio. I've got new speakers, amp, & sub brand new in boxes, but I want a factory AM/FM/CD player instead of aftermarket.

Can anyone tell me which stereos are a direct replacement?

Also...was there an AM/FM/CD/Cassette option for the '97 year trucks? I remember back in '96 my buddy bought a '97 SST Ram and I'm pretty sure it was equipped with a factory AM/FM/CD/Cassette but I've slept alot since then.... I'd imagine if there was it would have a double din, but what was sacrificed? The Cupholder/Foglight Switch above the radio or the Ashtray/Lighter below it?

Where I used to work , our service truck was a 96 V10 , it had both cassette and CD, Infinity system. I think it would plug right in if you could find one.

Pretty much everything from '84 to '01 is a direct bolt in plug in operation. For fancy radio options (at the time your truck was new) we had sales codes RBN, RAZ and one other, can't recall right now. The RBN is my favorite, it plays cassettes and has factory CD changer controls integrated and is hardwired instead of FM modulated. The RAZ code has onboard CD player (one at time only) and a cassette player. There's another one, the one I can't remember the code for that plays a CD and has no cassette player. There are a few others, these are the only ones I thought significant.

Dodge didn't use a double din in any 2nd gen trucks, they're all 1.5 din.

Still have my am/fm/cd factory non-infinity sitting on the shelf in the garage (out of my '01). PM me if interested.

I bought a 6 cd factory changer off of evil-bay for my truck. Mounted it under the driver seat.
