The guys with the 3500 trucks already have the larger wheel cylinders. The 3500 wheel cylinders are recommended for the 2500 trucks. According to posts on dieselram.com Dodge uses GM wheel cylinders, making the Dodge 3500 wheel cylinders the same size as the GM units. I used Dodge 3500 units per the Dodge TSB recommending this mod for trucks hauling at maximum GVW consistently. Yes they do make a great improvement, my Dodge CTD no longer nose dives on hard braking, it just squats and stops quickly.

Ray, the Chevy cylinders are larger than anything Dodge ever used.
They are 30mm, Dodge 2500s are 24mm till '97, later years and 3500s are 27mm.
Every little bit makes a big difference, several 3500 owners including me can testify to it.

Easiest way I have ever found to remove drums. Go to Sears have them do a free break inspection. Ask them to remove the drums and check thickness. That poor sears SOB will do all the sweating. Now when your ready to do your break job they will slide right off. Yeah I know I am a jerk

i did the fix and now i stop like a car not a bus
man that was fun trying to get the parts
being so cheap i tried to get them at parts plus (because i get a discount)
but when i told them what i need (which i thought were drums off a 88 chevy 1ton)
not the little wheel assembly i got to the counter and they told me $100+, i told them napa has them for $11 they just laugh at me
so i called napa told them what i was looking for still thought i was looking for drums,
gave the part# they said $4 i run down there and they had the pads gave them the # again and went to look around and saw he carrying 2 little boxes i was thinking to my self "those aint drums what the heck are those?"
but the part # was right
put them in and everything is good
so if anybody is like me (god i hope not) you want the wheel assembly for a 88 chevy 1 ton drw, not the drums, and not the pads
