50K miles a big differance?

In my truck search , I'm looking at 2 trucks , both 02's .

One has 80K miles , 5 speed , needs new tires and is pretty much stock . for $18,500 extcab , 8' bed . (No 5th wheel)

The other has 130K , 6 speed , ext cab 8' bed , WITH new tires and nice aftermarket rims , nice aftermarket bumpers front one with the grill guard . and a few other things on the body that look nice and a 5th wheel(which I dont need) . Pretty much a nicer looking truck . (only thing is no PW/PL which sucks . Going for $15K .

Main question I guess is 50K miles somthing to worry about , is it worth paying 3.5K$ more for , and then id have to buy tires and of course the bumpers because they look so much better ? So basically $5K? And the higher milage had a 5th wheel , is that anything to worry about as far as what was towed?

15K$ is kinda what I want to pay top end too , I don't wanna much bigger payment that that . . . . I just keep thinking maybe I'm crazy to let 50K miles slip away .

Help me think lol .

Big D has it right. You are looking at $3,000 worth of after market parts also.

The six speed truck has just got broke in. I'd do that one. The five speed trannys have problems as well.

there are issues on the 02' front drive shaft as they spin all the time, the 6sp has a bigger input and clutch, the 5sp is quicker to shift and capeable of more power in mods, for my money I would decide exactly what is important in a truck as options go and hunt for a winner, as for mileage you will see loads of cummins with 2-3-400,000 miles going strong, it totally depends on who owned it. my truck gets oil changes at 3500 miles, every tick rattle and squeak is instantly found and fixed....others tow huge loads and burn down brakes, pass on oil changes, put it up tired and wet...I drive mine alot and anyone that tells me any truck with 50k less miles is any better than mine can kiss my aft ranch hand bumper.

no the miles are no biggie if the trucks were equally well treated, pw/pl is a must though
