I had the Hercules tires on my truck before going with HanKooks..

The Hercules are OK..But they are a cheap tire....and the wear is not the best..I think I got about 15K miles out of them..if that

the Tera Trac HT wear fast as do the radial rib , the AT are real good tire, and there trailer tires (st)seem to hold up real well. we have over 200 tires on the ground and have switched over to Hercules 4 years ago they seem to be doing a good job for us. most of the time there over loaded .running Toyo just got to expensive so we bought are own changer and balancer and buy wholesale now from Hercules

Well that's good to know. Dang it. I thought maybe I found an ok tire that I could live with. I can't spend 900 dollars on a set of tires and have them wear out in 15,000 miles. So on with the search

Use your best judgement...That is a high price for 4 Hercules tires...I bought 6 new Hercules tires for my dually...Including everything was a little over $800..

Like I said...they where not bad..but they did wear fairly quick...If you could get them for way less than $900..It's a ok tire if your budget, is a little tight..

That was the reason..I bought them...tight budget...

Thanks bus boy. That's a good looking tire. Have you tried them? If you did, how much did you have to pay for them (if you don't mind me asking).
Thanks for the link , Marv

best summer tire I have ever owned, never got a flat, quiet, great handling and lasted nearly 60,000 miles. My father still has a set on his chevy that we bought back in 1996 (his truck spends most of its life in a heated garage). I seem to always get flats and have odd tread wearing when I use the Chinese and other less expensive domestic tires.

Those tires are made in the US they are not cheap tires just low cost. If you google Wild Country XTX Sport - LT you will find there are many tire outlets that sell them in the US. I found those tires here and compared them side by side with tires costing much more and these in my opinion were better. They have good siping, a good tread depth more than most, the groves go full depth to the outside of the tire unlike a lot of tire that as soon as you get 1/4 wear they is nowhere for the water to escape quickly and they are prone to hydroplaning, They have good durability and are fairly quiet on the hiway, I discovered that a local phone and internet company is using them on their entire truck fleet. We put them on my sons G56 truck and he couldn't stop raving about them on his way out of town, said they were great on the ice roads. When he wore through them he thought he wanted a more popular tire so he replaced them with Nitto Grapplers which lasted no time at all compared to the multimile's and cost way more.
