T steering upgrade - linkage rubs on left turns
T steering upgrade - linkage rubs on left turns
Hey all,
I did my 3rd gen retrofit this weekend! Truck is much happier, I'm happier, etc.
But the new linkage rubs the right rim in hard left turns. I can stay off the stops, but is there a better way to go about fixing the clearance problem? The aluminum rim will go away much faster than the steel ball joint...
Do I have enough room to grind a little meat off the linkage?
Thanks all,
C

Kim, wouldn't that change the balance of the inner and outer bearings and wear them faster??
I know that one of the guys who posted about doing the T-steering upgrade a month or so ago ground a little off the spot where the ball joint housing was rubbing the rim.
