Question Strange Beeping sound on the radio

Well folks, this is an odd one, recently my stereo has started beeping at me while driving. It is playing a wierd short tune for about 5 seconds or so right over the radio in the passenger front speaker.

Then it goes away for 5 or 10 or 30 minutes, and then it repeats, only when on radio, very clear, Am or Fm, any ideas?

Have you started stashing a cell phone in the little storage pocket in the dash or somewhere else near there?

Thought about that went through every little cubby hole and couldn't find anything and it is definetly tied to the radio, once it starts if you shut off the radio it stops as well, if you listen to a tape, the problem doesn't exist.

Very wierd.

That would be Chryslers new SD/CPS that you are hearing.

Happens all over the city and province so I don't suspect it is location dependent, only other antenna is an XM satellite radio antenna and I removed it and I still go the funky little sounds.

Still thinking this is very wierd.

I have the same issue. my radio started playing a buzzing tune. I attributed it to the electric barake controller I have. But changing the engine speed or applying the breaks won't change the intermittant sound. It had just started this about a month ago....

I have no idea what controller it is. It came with the truck. I just know that the brake controller use PWM to control the brake pressure.
