I don't see why it would be a problem. The weight would be off your tires, which for a lengthy storage is probably not a bad idea.

Fine.

Remove batteries.

I would change oil first so no contaminates sit in there.

If it's rurally located, keep rodents out of tail pipe and air intake box; mesh or a rag. Whichever method, put a note on the steering wheel so you remember

I don't see a problem with it being on axle stands for less than 2 months, or even longer for that matter. Maybe top up the fuel tank. Plus what the others have said.

Cheers!

Thanks for the replies. I was just concerned about damage to the axle housing. Guess it is not a worry. Thanks.

My uncle sits his 57 t-bird on jack stands from around the beginning of September to sometime in early spring(Western N.Y) and has done that for as long as I can remember(I'm pushing 40) and never heard, seen any ill affects.

7 weeks isn't a very long time to let it sit on tires.

A wad of steel wool will keep things out of the tailpipe and airbox better than a rag. Rodents won't chew it.

Thats my thoughts. My dually has been sitting for the last 4 or 5 months. The axles are meant to support the vehicle, not sure why you think being on jackstands would hurt anything.
