Remote Wire
When I did mine I had the same problem with not having any sound come out of the speakers. When you took out your factory radio there should have been a wire that was clipped onto the back of the radio independent of the wiring harness. To solve my problem I took that wire and hooked it up to the remote wire of the harness (I think that it was blue.) Once I did that it worked. Hope this helps.

If you have run your wires straight to the speakers then you saw the amp mounted to your speakers. When I changed my speakers I made the mistake of cutting one of them completely off and just plugging in the speaker wire and I couldn't get it to work. So I had to resplice all of the wires going into the amp and then it worked again. I don't believe that running the wires straight to the speakers will work with an Infinity system. I think that you are going to have to use the harness and connect the remote wire in order for it to work.

you can get new speakers for the doors for under a couple hundred bones.
stereo problems
okay I'm not running into the stock speakers at all. I have after market speakers and ran straight from the stereo to the speakers bypassing all stock parts still can't get power to the stereo .

ok, i just did the same thing with amps and such. i memory serves me correctly. the pink is the constant hot red is keyed hot or (visa versa) and the ground is black. i took the black ground that was snapped on the back of the stock radio and the black wire from the aftermarket harness and crimped a spade on it and put them together.
