Steering Column Squeek
Steering Column Squeek
Got a sqeek coming from the steering column when verring left or right. Occasional clunk/knock too. I got to get rid of this sqeek. Any ideas or input would be greatly appreciated. I am considering buying a "Rock Solid" rebuilt column bushing from http://www.rocksolidramtrucksteering.com/
Found the above link after I searched "Steering Column Squeek".
Thanks for any help folks.

There's a recall on that. I found the info on one of the forums. There's a screw you have to replace on the bottom of the column. It even has a part number from Dodge house. If I can find it, I'll post it here.
I just installed the bushing from rock solid 1000 miles ago. It really made a difference in the overall feel of the steering....made the wheel feel really tight. I'd compare it to the feel of driving a Sebring or Concorde.
I found the a TSB, but it may not be the one in question. It says it is for non-tilt steering columns.
