Has anyone else had a problem with there sport headlights fogging up inside the lense? Mine has moisture all over the inside face of it and I'm wondering if that is reducing my lighting output. Does anyone have any solution to this? Thanks.

 

Only solution I've heard of is drilling a little air hole in the bottom of the housing.

Since the units are sealed, there isn't really a way for moisture to be getting in there,
it must be whatever was trapped in there during production,
and it's just migrating to where it can be seen.

I don't have the sport package, but mine did the same thing. Only one headlite had water in it. I know they are supposed to be sealed, but there was actually water laying in the bottom of mine-TWICE?!! I drilled two small holes in the outboard side and one on the inboard side. That way there would be airflow through the assembly when I drove the truck. It took about a week but it took care of the problem. If you want I could put a picture up to show you what I did.

I would NOT drill holes in the lenses yet!
First, if I'm not mistaken, the Sport headlight housings are just like the turn-signal housings. They are not sealed beams,,,,, the bulbs twist in from the backside and there is a foam/rubber gasket that may be cracked or letting the moisture in. They are a pain to get to, but you can pull the bulb out and blow air into the lense to dry the moisture. (My Sport had this problem with a turn-signal housing that was replaced under warranty. It was not glued together completly). You could also take the complete assembly out and check for any cracks where the clear lense is glued to the reflector back part. Just a thought before you try drilling the lenses. It would seem that this will definitely let the moisture and road grime into the lense.

 

I had the same problem with my old Thunderbird. The lenses were supposed to be sealed but wern't. I took them off, put them in the sun till all of the water was gone, then ran silicone sealant all around the "sealing" seam. Never had a problem again. Might try something like that.

 

If your truck is under warranty, this is a warranty fix. Seen it a hundred times when I worked at a dealership.
