Well- I know how much my truck wieghs now!

Wieghed my truck at the recycling center today- 7220 with me in it (I wiegh right at 260) and a 1/4 tank of gas, otherwise completely empty.

It is a 98 Quad Cab 4x4 Dually CTD- so- there is a frame of reference for those that wish to know- now you know!

J-Body....They usually rate stuff like that way below its maximum capacity just because they know the nature of people in general----which is push "everything" to its limit..... Besides.........thats why you're paid the big bucks so you can stand underneath and repair all the messes us do-it-yourselfer's get halfway into...then figure out we can't finish

thats messed up my 99 came in at somewhere around 7700 with light fuel load and one fairly light passenger

this is pre-winch & roll bar even

do you think they made 99s heavier?

i have a 99 and it was 7000lbs with full tank and me in it so take off 275 for me and then i took out the spare tire and step bars and a few other things so ill have to go back and c what it is now

Just got back from the dump and the wieght was #7340. Had a 1/4 tank of fuel, two adult's (i'm 220lbs ) and a dog. So it's a safe guess that it wiegh's in 6900lbs.

Huh- sounds like the dually suspension is good for a couple hundred pounds to me- and I do have some 5th wheel and other towing goodies added on as well.

7680 lbs with me, the wife, 2 Shelties, full fuel tank, B&W turnoverball gooseneck with companion 5th wheel hitch, WeatherGuard 5th wheel toolbox.

Well here try this on... My 2002 CTD Dodge on the scale nobody in the seat and a full tank of fuel it tips the scales at 7,900

Does have a shell (fiberglass) on the bed.

6880# here with 1/4 tank no passengers. I had to get a certified weight ticket to register it. Right at 4k# for the front axle.

With the camper on and ready is another story @ 12100#
