Sport & Non Sport Model Headlights

I was looking at a set of healights for a 2001 sport online, it appears they have two beams inside? Is this something I can swap over to my truck or is the harness different?

I plan on putting a sport bumper & Grille on over the winter

Do a search here, there is a kit to add the second bulb, the lights bolt right in.

Looks like a good upgrade.

I've got the the Sport lights, there is an extra bulb as well as an extra fuse for it the the panel so I'm sure soem extra wiring migth be needed. Your truck might already have it and jsut need the pigtail upto the lamp unit for it.

You might be lucky and have the wiring already in for the sport. Look close. If not look on here there is a lot of information on lighting. Most kits come with relays and all the wiring needed for the conversion.
When you get it done please post the information.

You'll also need to cut a piece of metal behind the headlight to get the sport headlights to fit.

On an 01, the socket wiring for the extra two bulbs is already there from the factory. The socket harnesses are tucked up and secured behind/under the headlights, tied to the fender. You just need to pull the sockets out from the dummy plastic plug they are in. The sport headlight assembly just bolts right in, no sheet metal trimming required. But you may need to buy the sport light relay and fuse that are in the fuse box next to the battery. Oh, and you'll need the turn signal corners too, they are different for the sport lights.

On a 96, there is no factory harness for the extra bulbs, so you'll need to buy one or make your own and you'll also have to trim the sheet metal so that the two extra bulbs will clear.

It's certainly worth the upgrade.
