So fed up with my truck im ready to sell it

I have put TONS of money into the front end of my truck that its not funny, and it still steers and handles like complete CRAP. I have brand new heavy duty steering linkage, lukes link, nothing is loose whatsoever, quick ratio gearbox, steering stabilizer, caster crakned to 6 degrees! and the thing still handles terrible, sways and rocks all over the place, steering return to center is TERRIBLY slow, returning to center from a right turn is even worse, I work at a Dodge dealer and I have driver all kinds of 3rd and 4th gen cummins, lifted or now, and they drive 100% better. I know the 3rd and 4th gens will always be better but there HAS to be a way to make the second gens close, I dont even enjoy driving my truck anymore. 3rd or 4th gen gearbox?

Front bushings?
Ball joints?
Steering shaft? I think there is a collar up by the firewall that could cause poor steering performance as well.

The rear axle being a bit loose could cause poor steering.
Rear bushings?
Rear u-bolts?

I didn't see any of the above mentioned. Those all could be causing some of the issue.

I am assuming you are talking about front control arm bushings? if so I have new control arms on it. I will check the rear end and post back, ball joints are tight. Steering shaft is also tight

Well, for one, 6 degrees will make it hard to turn, and definitely won't return to center worth a hoot, I assume you dialed that much in to combat death wobble? 3.2 to 3.5 should be all you need in any case, unless you are running for instance 44" tires.......

I will say this, I HATED the way mine rode on the BFG's, even the E rated ones, way too much sidewall flex. Is there anyone you can swap tires with a different brand just to see if yours are the same?

Since you work for a Dodge dealer, there must be a mechanic there who can take a look at the truck for you.

the more positive caster, the greater the return to center. even with 6 degrees positive, the steering returns slow, but when driving down the road i can literally turn the wheel with my pinky, theres no effort whatsoever. Im thinking its in the gearbox
