Instrument and Tail Lights?

I washed under my hood today and the undercarriage and now my dash lights and running lights aren't working. I haven't located the fuse yet and hope that's it. Anyone had this issue before?

That is where I would start...if you got water into the power center between the drivers battery and brake booster you may have shorted something....

It turned out to be a friends trailer I had hooked up. It had a short in the wiring. As soon as I unplugged it everything worked fine. Not sure why it didn't blow the trailer fuse or the tail light fuse but I'm just happy it's fixed.

bad wiring on trailers is common, once my friend bought one wired so the brakes were connected to stop lights thinking that would work- except it caused tires to skid every time I hit the turn signals.
